Eli Bishop

Eli was born July 20, 1991. He was a 2010 graduate of Pike County High School where he played football & baseball. Eli was an avid fisherman, hunter, loved to ride and care for horses and loved the outdoors. He was a volunteer fireman for Pike County. He was a member of Woolsey Baptist Church and had attended Christ Chapel Church in Zebulon. Eli was an all around wonderful son, brother and friend that will be missed by all.

Survivors include his parents, Kent & Kim Bishop; sister, Rachel Bishop; brother, Matthew Bishop all of Senoia; grandparents, Dr. Joseph & Joyce Bishop of Fayetteville and Dale & Pat Duncan of Fayetteville; aunts & uncles, Dale & Carol Duncan, Cindy & Wendell Johnston, Dawn Bell, Brian Bishop and Sam & Julie Bishop. Cousins and other family also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Eli Bishop will be held Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Chapel Church. Pastor Billy Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
