William F. Hunter of Fairview, Ore., was born on November 22, 1948 and passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2020. Bill lived with gastrointestinal cancer for nearly seven years.
He is survived by his wife Patricia, daughter Lisa Schauer, her husband Al and granddaughter Sydney; son Michael, daughter-in-law Keriann, grandchildren Ethan, Bridgette and Kieran; brother David and sister Shirley Newell.
Bill served in the US Navy in Guam during the Vietnam War. He worked for Consolidated Freightways for 28 years as a heavy-duty truck mechanic. In his retirement he did admin work for Hanna Acura in Portland. He was a Ski Instructor at Mt. Hood and a top-notch league bowler.
Services will be held at 1pm, Saturday, March 14 at St. Henry’s Church, 346 NW First Street, Gresham, OR 97030. Reception to follow.
