Thomas William Dove passed away on October 24, 2015, in The Dalles, Oregon. He was born on December 12, 1932, in Frederick, South Dakota, to his parents: William and Marie Dove. Thomas attended Barnum School (Grades 1-12) then later Vancouver Heights (Washington) High School, from which he graduated in 1950.
Tom served in the United States Air Force from 1952 until 1962. For his service, he received the Korean Service medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal with Two Loops, and the Air Force Longevity Service Award with One Oak Leaf Cluster.
On July 31, 1953, Thomas and Bonnie Jeanne Baldwin were married at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock, Texas. They were married until her passing in 2012.
Tom was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church, and the Paralyzed Veterans of America. He enjoyed playing cards (especially cribbage), fishing, motorcycle rides, poker runs, beach trips, mountain trips, and camping.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Jeanne. He is survived by his children, Tom Jr. (Ronie), and Steve; his grandchildren, Ryann, Will, Audrey, and Lauren; as well as his great grandchild, Corbin, with one great grandchild on the way.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Thomas’ name can be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
