Shari A. Reed Jones

Shari graduated from Jefferson High School in 1968. She married Dennis Jones, of Newberg, Oregon on May 8, 1970. Later they settled in Gresham.

Shari was a homemaker for many years. Later she owned several local antique shops with her husband Dennis. She worked in food service @ Mt. Hood Community College until the onset of her illness in 2009.

Hobbies included, antiquing, camping at Detroit Lake and traveling with her husband Dennis and grandchildren, entertaining neighborhood children, was well loved by kids and neighbors, loved Christmas, and kept an open home for friends and neighbors.

Shari was preceded in death by her parents and a great grandson, Cayden Taylor. Shari is survived by her husband Dennis Jones, Wood Village, OR., two daughters, Teresa Jones, Wood Village and Alicia (Matthew) Taylor, Portland, OR., son, Darin (Stephanie) Jones, Gresham, OR. two sisters, Marylu Hughes, Portland, OR and Carla Macartney, Troutdale, OR , brother, David Reed of Beaverton, OR., 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, mother-in-law Beverly Jones of Newberg, OR., and her dog “Pudgy”.

A Celebration of Shari’s Life will be on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home located at 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon. Private interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
