Former Gresham resident Ruth Virginia Morris, 94 of Portland OR, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2010. She was born on June 10, 1916 in Rockford, Illinois to Charles and Selma Wallin. She graduated in 1934 from Commerce High School (currently Cleveland) and received her associate from Phoenix College in Arizona. She married Robert Morris on January 29, 1939 in Portland, Oregon. She worked as a medical records secretary for many years in Arizona and California before retiring. In addition to Arizona, she also lived in Grants Pass and Salem, Oregon before moving to Gresham in 2004 and then to Portland in 2006. She loved gardening and also enjoyed wildlife and the outdoors.
She is survived by her former husband Robert Morris of Phoenix AZ; sons Bob Morris (Bonnie) of Gresham OR and David Morris (Millie) of Phoenix AZ; daughter Carole Morris of Phoenix AZ; five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
No Formal Services will be held at this time. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
