Phyllis worked as a school secretary at the Centennial School District for many years. She married Arnt Ostrem on January 23, 1943 in Freeport, New York. Arnt died on May 16, 2010.
Phyllis was a long time Gresham resident. She was an active long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Gresham. Phyllis enjoyed growing flowers, especially roses and traveling on several church trips to Europe.
Survivors include her three sons, David Ostrem, of Vancouver, B.C., Canada, Gerald Ostrem of Portland, OR., and James Ostrem of Portland, sister Marjorie Hibbert of Portland and 3 grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 507 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon.
