Patrick Hickey passed away on May 17, 2015, in Camas, Washington. Patrick was born in Eugene, Oregon, to his parents; Elmer Niles and Ann Z. (LaVaughn) Hickey, on December 9, 1946. Patrick attended Marshall High School, and in 1963 enlisted in the navy, where he served until his honorable discharge in 1967. Patrick was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and the Republic Of Vietnam Service Medal. On March 17, 1967, Patrick married the love of his life, Vickie Thomas, and they were married for 48 years.
Patrick was a family man above all else; he enjoyed taking camping, fishing, casino, and beach trips with his family over the years. He also enjoyed cruising, photography, walking, and his beloved kitty Tux. Patrick’s life motto was a quote by Will Rogers, “Never let yesterday use up too much of today”.
Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Elmer "Buck" Hickey. Patrick is survived by his mother, Ann; wife, Vickie; son, David; his daughter-in-law, Kristi; his grandchildren, Tyler and Brittany; his brother, Mike, and sister, Lynn Pennick; as well as other family and friends who loved him dearly. He will be missed.
