Patrick Gary Glenn passed away in the loving care of his family on December 11, 2018,
he was 78 years old. Known to most as Pat, he was born November 28, 1940 in Chicog,
Wisconsin the fourth of nine children born to Ralph and Helen Glenn. Raised in
Troutdale, Oregon, Pat graduated from Reynolds High School, the class of 1959. He
served his country by joining the United States Navy. He served from September, 1959
to September, 1963 on the USS Pyro. During this time, Pat was stationed in San
Francisco, California, and bravely ventured to the Western Pacific countries as part of
his deployment during the Vietnam War Era. Afterwards, he came back to Troutdale
where he also worked for Reynolds Metal Co. for over 25 years, retiring in 1990 as the
lead foreman. In 1965 he met Geraldine (better known as Jeri), and on December 17,
1966 they were wed at the City Hall in Wood Village. Pat and Jeri shared a love that
inspired and was admired by many, and is known to be endless. He will be remembered
as a hard worker who was highly respected by his peers, an avid reader, an
extraordinary hunter and fisherman, and had a passion for all things sports, especially
the UO Ducks.
Patrick is survived by his beloved wife Geraldine of 52 years, children; Marcia Lunsford,
Denise Troen, Shelli Lunsford, Shawn Glenn (Julie) and Patrick Glenn (Melissa), 9
grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He’s survived by his siblings; Ralph, Larry
(Mary), Jim (Trudy), Tom (Linda), Cathy (Jim), Richard (Carol). He’s preceded by his
siblings John, and Dianne.
Military Honors and Committal Service will be held, Noon, Thursday, December 27,
2018 at Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd, Portland, Oregon
97086. Please join friends and family to Honor the life of Pat Glenn following the service
on December 27, 2018. We will be gathering at the M & M Restaurant and Lounge at
137 N. Main Ave. in Gresham from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on December 27.
