Nora Jean Paschall, a resident of Gresham Oregon passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family August 2nd 2019.
“Jean” was born on May 19th 1939 in Chester Arkansas. She was the third of nine children born to Joseph and Evalena (Ridenoure) Laws, she was raised in Yakima Washington.
She met her future husband Gleen “Bud” Paschall At the Division St Corral in Portland Oregon, and they were married shortly after on August 23rd,1957 in Stevenson Washington. They started life together in The Dalles Oregon, then moved to Gresham Oregon in the 1960’s where they raised their three sons.
“Jean” worked at Barkers furniture factory and had a successful career at the Gresham Outlook. She was a devoted wife to Bud and mother to her sons, she enjoyed her rambunctious children and all of their friends. Jean’s boys have wonderful memories of their childhood, growing up in the same neighborhood of Gresham as grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
“Jean” enjoyed playing video games and watching scary movies with her children and grandchildren. She was a passionate fan of NASCAR racing and reading.
“Jean” was preceded in death by her father Joseph, her mother Evalena, her brothers Ira, Tim, and Nicky and beloved sister Ruth Shupp. She is survived by her loving husband Gleen, her three Son’s and their spouses: Ricky and Capriece of Vancouver WA, Rex and Yuko of Portland OR, Rocky and Janiece of Gresham OR, as well as five grandchildren: Misty Faye, Rickylee Paschall, Sierra Paschall, Shietha Smith, and Lee Paschall. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren: Wyatt, Ruger, Talia, Gunnar, Eli, Skyler, and Rowan. Jean has four surviving siblings, Bob Laws, EJ Laws, Paulette Shaver, and Peggy Breshears.
A celebration of life gathering will be held, Sunday, September 8th at 1;00 pm at River Hills Church, 1217 SE 4th St, Gresham, Oregon 97080.
