Larry Mayer

Larry went to David Douglas High School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft engineer. Larry married Patty Rubich on June 12, 1976 in Virginia City, Nevada. He was a long time east county resident. He worked as a supervisor at Precision Cast Parts for over 30 years. Hobbies included sailing, was an avid reader and a huge Portland Trailblazer fan.

Survivors include his wife Patty, of Portland, OR., son, Tristan Mayer, of Vancouver, WA., daughter, Heather Mayer, of Portland, OR., three brothers, David Mayer, of Gualala, CA., Dan Mayer, of Gresham, OR., and Kevin Mayer, of Portland, OR., and sister Kathy Jacobsen, of Woodland, WA. Larry was preceded in death by a sister Peggy Wilcox.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be on Friday, January 6, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Room at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church located at 2310 SE 148th Ave. in Portland. Private inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
