Jimmy D. Faulkner

Jimmy David Faulkner, 65 of Gresham OR, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. He was born on May 16, 1949 in Corinth, Mississippi to J.C. and Mary Louise (Kitty) Faulkner. He graduated from High School in Chicago IL and served in the US Army during Vietnam from 1968 to 1971. Jimmy married Sara Jane McKay on October 17, 1970 in Astoria, Oregon. He later received his Associate degree from Mt. Hood community College and attended the University of Portland.

Jimmy worked as an auditor for US Veteran’s Affairs for five years before he was medically retired in 1985. He was a member of Kenton Masonic Lodge 145 A.F. & A.M. and the Vietnam Vets of America. Jimmy enjoyed trips to the Oregon Coast, backpacking, horseback riding, history, reading and classic movies.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Sara Faulkner of Gresham OR; his daughter Mary Faulkner of Gresham OR and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Committal with Military Honors will be held at 1:30pm on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Oregon Humane Society. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
