I didn't personally know Jessica, but I remember buying a Dey by Dey bracelet at Ceramic Cafe the day of the funeral. It makes me happy to know that the Dey by Dey foundation lives on even though Jessica unfortunately couldn't. Jess, you are an inspiration to everyone you knew you!

I am devastated with Jessica's passing.  So much so, it has taken me until now to put my thoughts into writing.  
Having lost my husband three years ago,  I know how strong memories help the heart heal.  Hence, I send you my memory of beautiful baby Jessica, and how proud each member of the Dey family  was as they held or walked with her in the neighborhood.  
Even though the family soon moved away from Eastbourne, I would hear wonderful comments about Jessica from members of the community.  I know she continued to bring love and pride to her family.

I can't imagine what it must be like to lose a child but I know that you and your family have done everything in your power to make her last fews days loving,gentle,warm and comfortable.  I didnt know her but from reading her story I am sure she was a wonderful kid who made the world a better place to be. Hi Ron and the Dey family... It's been many years since I've seen you Ron... I remember you through the Craftsman's Club.  I recently read about your daughter, Jessica, via a post on facebook from a mutual friend, Gert Jensen.  My prayers go out to you, your family and to Jessica.  We lost our son, Graeme, in 2000 due to a heart condition, he was 12 years old.  I don't have any words of wisdom, just silence and understanding.  We live a life that our son would be proud of and honor him everyday.  We miss him tremendously, always will.  Again, thinking and praying for your family... My very best, Blair Jones.

We are so sorry for your loss.  Jessica was a beautiful girl and will truly be missed by so many people.  We remember at the football games when we would be there to watch the girls dance at half time, and Jessica would go off to play and visit with others.  Ron would be sitting behind us and he would stand up and whistle and little Jessica would know to come running because her dad was checking on her.  I know she is still listening for your whistle. I have a 19-year-old granddaughter named Jessica Rose, and she remembers being with Lauren in a choir class at Sunrise Middle School and hearing about Lauren's little sister Jessica. I did not get to meet your sweet daughter, but I heard so much about her through the Cavalette dance team and HVE where my son goes. My daughter, Shelby is a Cavalette dancer. When they won state this year, I kept thinking how great it was that Jessica got to hear about this, especially since her older sister danced on the team before. I take comfort in knowing now, that Jessica is pain-free, happy and dancing in Heaven alongside God!

Ron, Candy, Brittiany and Lauren ... I consider you all my family even though we are only related through my sister. Every year at Thanksgiving when all of us adults were having "boring" conversations, Jessica was always cruising around like the sound of lightning. I couldn't help myself but to hang out with her and Amanda. I would laugh and laugh at the things she said and did. Jessica always had so much energy and enthusiasm for fun. Thanksgiving will not be the same but I think this year, we all have a fun crazy game in honor of one of the coolest kids I have met. Thank you for sharing her with me, Quinn and the girls.

Our daughter was lost to us on May 2nd of last year at the age of 36, after a four month battle with Glioma Brain cancer.  Unless you have lost a child, and we have lost both of ours, no one knows the pain you are now enduring.  I write this to let you know that the overwhelming pain does lessen with time, it will never go away but it will get better.  Keep living life the best you can from day to day, remember that when you cry the pain flows out and also your daughter would want you to be as happy as you can be.
