Jay Dennis went to be with our Lord on May 16, 2012 in Gresham, Oregon. Jay was born on September 27, 1968 in Portland to Curtis and Karen (Hartke) Dennis. He graduated from Centennial High School. In January of 1997 he married Berta Torres in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
Jay was a landscape designer for Sunset Landscaping/Creekside Nursery. He was a lifelong Gresham area resident. Jay was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church. He was a wonderful father and husband.
Jay is survived by his loving wife Berta, of Gresham; son, Alan Dennis, of Gresham; daughter, Andrea Dennis, of Gresham; parents, Curt “Pug” and Karen Dennis of Gresham, two brothers, Scott Dennis of Corbett and Jeff Dennis who lives in Portland.
Rosary service will be on Monday, May 21st at 7 pm at Bateman Carroll Funeral located at 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22nd at St. Henry Catholic Church, 346 NW 1st St. in Gresham.
