William “Billy” T. Wagner, 42, of Troutdale passed away on May 15, 2021. Billy was born August 2, 1978 to George “Bill” and Theresa (Van Den Heede) Wagner. He was raised in Troutdale with one sibling, Stacey.
Billy was introduced to meat cutting at a young age by his grandfather. Billy started cutting meat in high school and became a Journeyman meat cutter. Over the years he perfected this skill and enjoyed a successful career. Billy was always particular about the best cuts of meat. Billy’s mother and mother-in-law always appreciated when he would gift them kitchen knives and knife sharpening services.
Billy loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. Billy liked to recount stories of going fishing before work with his friends that sometimes led to tardiness and traffic tickets. Billy liked to wakeboard with his family during summer trips to Lake Shasta. Billy loved to camp and spent as much time as possible in the woods. Billy’s favorite memories were of times spent on Mt Hood camping in his trailer with his family and his dog. Billy loved movies and leaves behind an impressive collection of DVD’s. Billy loved all things trucks and was constantly improving them. He could take a brand new truck in perfect condition and find ways to make it even better.
Billy married his life partner, Jessica, in August of 2011. They shared over a decade of happiness together.
Billy loved deeply. Billy preferred to show his love through actions. Billy roasted coffee for his wife and made her dinner every night at 5:30. Billy loved his family and was always there to help, killing spiders, spreading rock, mowing the lawn, fixing the car. He visited his mom and dad every day. Although Billy was sometimes a man of few words, he was funny with a great sense of humor. He made Jessica laugh every day they were together. He was a very thoughtful son, friend and companion.
Billy was survived by his wife, Jessica; parents, Bill and Theresa; sister, Stacey and her children, Aspyn and Bandan; sister in law Kristen, Brent, and their children, Hannah, Maliya and Ian; and his in laws, Rob and Susan; and lastly his best friend, Hugo. Billy will be laid to rest on May 24th at 2pm.
