Adam was born on February 21, 1984 in Portland, Oregon and was the son of Kenneth and Julie (Brigham) Austin. He grew up in Portland, Boise and Seattle and returned to East County where he graduated from Centennial High School in 2002.
On July 26, 2002, he married his high school sweet heart, Tara Corder in Gresham, Oregon and three days later he entered the United States Marine Corps.
Adam was stationed at Camp Pendleton and later 29 Palms. He served tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan and was awarded various Campaign Medals, Conduct Medals and Citations for his exemplary service. He received an honorable discharge on December 14, 2011 at the rank of Corporal and returned to Gresham.
Adam had many hobbies. He enjoyed fishing, gold panning, locksmithing and wood working. He also had an interest in Law Enforcement and was working towards becoming a police officer. He had a big smile that matched his big heart. His family was important to him and so were his fellow Marines. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Adam is survived by his wife, Tara and their two daughters, Brooklynn and Abigail of Gresham, parents, Ken and Julie Austin of Damascus, brothers, Christopher Austin of Portland, Ryan Austin of Portland and Buddy Austin of Lake Oswego, his sister, Allyson Austin of Damascus and his grandmother, Jeannie Buss of Independence along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He is also survived by his Marine Corps Family.
