Born on November 12, 1969 to Jim Nail and Kathie Nail, Shannon leaves a legacy of endearing love to her family. She lived as a military spouse for 19 years, predominantly in Okinawa, Japan and Ft. Riley, Kansas. After coming home to Northwest Arkansas, Shannon pursued various careers before returning to school, where she obtained an Associates of Science, graduating Magna Cum Laude from NorthWest Arkansas Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville) again graduating Magna Cum Laude. Shannon’s greatest endeavor in life was caring for, supporting, and loving her children and grandchildren. She rallied to live her life to the fullest taking great pleasure in her favorite fandoms: Harry Potter and the Grinch.
In her last days, Shannon looked forward to being reunited in glory with her father and granny who proceeded her in death. She is survived by two children, a daughter and her husband, Michelle (Pointer) and Derrick Bremer and a son, Alexander Jim Pointer; an honorary daughter, Tory (Asbury) Eldridge; two grandbabies, Charlotte and Charles Bremer; four siblings, Heather Roy, Jimmy Nail, Wendy Martin, and Richard Rasmussen; and her stepmother Rhonda Patterson.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, February 18 at the McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood under the leadership of Pastor Derrick Bremer of Denver Street Missionary Baptist Church. Viewing and visitation with the family will be Friday from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
