Leah Whiting, 72, of Barling, died Monday, January 2, 2012 in her home. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Whiting, Jr. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother and grandmother who knew the Lord.
Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Whiting of Fort Smith; one son, Frank H. Whiting, III and wife, Geraldine of Little Flock, AR; four brothers, Ellis Waggoner of Redding, CA, Wade Waggoner of Hyampom, CA, Daniel Waggoner of Charleston, and Roy Allen Waggoner of Charleston; one sister, Zeda Boster of Van Buren, and two grandchildren, Zoe and Zachery Whiting, both of Little Flock.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 6 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Liberty Cemetery. Viewing will be 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Frank Whiting III, Michael Lewis, David Boster, Dennis Waggoner, Delbert Hicks, and Marvin King.
