He was a welder at AOG for 12 years and Rheem Manufacturing until his retirement. John was a member of the Army National Guard at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas serving the 142nd Field Artillery during the mobilization for the Little Rock Nine and the Cuban Crisis. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed studying the Bible. John owned horses throughout his life as a trainer and breeder, loved the rodeo, and competed as a steer wrestler. He was a true Ford and Harley enthusiast and grew the best gardens.
He is preceded in death by his parents, JC and Aneita Greb of Fort Smith and a sister, Gail Gann of Lavaca.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Greb of Barling; two sons, Justin Greb of Barling and James Greb of Tulsa; a daughter, Jennifer Brammer and husband, Michael; three grandchildren, Breck, Brush and Brinn Brammer all of Van Buren and two special nieces, Myra Keith and Marla McRorey.
