Scott Atkinson was a man among men. He had his business side, his cut-up hilarious side, his tender, compassionate side,  and his serious side. All sides of him combined together meant that if ANYONE on his radar, or in his heart, needed anything, at ANY time, he was there for them. He always read the situation  correctly, and delivered the needed dialogue with just the right tone, wether with humor, or complete seriousness. He was a fun-loving, gregarious person, and we are all the better for having him in our lives. He touched all  of our lives and hearts greatly and will be deeply missed. The world was a much better place with Scott in it. 
Tears have been flowing freely here, but Scott wouldn't want that for long. We will abide by that, but we will always love him and keep him in our hearts forever.

I have no words to express how I feel about Scotty passing. He was one of a kind and I loved him dearly As so many of his friends do. You will be missed Scotty by all of us. I am absolutely heartbroken,  still in shock. I will miss you for the rest of my life. Go fly high Scotty 💔

Sometimes we meet a person and there is an instant connection. You can sense their heart and see just how genuine and kind and caring they are.
The eyes are said to be the windows of our soul. The first thing I noticed when I met Scotty was he looked directly in my eyes when he spoke, they never darted away. My dad always said you can tell a lot about a person who holds your attention.
I am terrible at thinking to take photos with my friends, I don't have one with Scott, so I chose to grab this one from his business page. The photographer captured his pure soul through his eyes. Captivating! That was Scotty. He didn't know a stranger.
When he was talking to you, he was very present. He wore his heart on his sleeve, no pretenses, if he like you, he liked you!

Scott was a patriot and loved our country and the men and women that serve and protect. His pride and great joy was his son Austin! He gleamed when he spoke of him being a Marine. Being Austin's dad was his greatest pleasure in life. 

Scott was smart and talented in so many different things, he was extending and building his business, he clearly cared about the people who worked for him. He was a songwriter and music lover. One favorite memory not long ago, was a "Demo Jail" session, just playing favorite tunes on an IPhone and belly busting laughter. He had the best laugh! "A Friend Forever".

To say I am gutted about the news of his passing is  an understatement , a heavy heart will follow me for a long time! Scotty left a big family and friends who I know feel as I do.

It was an honor to call him 'Friend".

I am sending mighty prayers of comfort to Austin Elena, Mrs. Atkinson Mr. Atkinson, Debbie, AJ, Matthew and Melissa. May the Lord wrap you in his arms during this difficult time.

Friends Forever!

Scott had the most infectious laugh, and gave the best hugs. He was the best dad Austin could have asked for. I am so heartbroken for Austin and Scott's family. I loved Scott dearly and always wished the best for him. May your love and faith bring you comfort at this time. 💗

I will always remember visiting  and hanging out with Scott in Greenwood, Arkansas.; good times.

So sad to see this. I will always remember Scott with a smile. I remember taking him to the movie when he was a kid, and going to church with you all. Martha, Mark and rest of family may God send his Angels to comfort you during this time. May God bless you all.

I remember back in the day.  Break dancing!!! He was awesome.  Pool party on his birthday.  Haven’t seen him since I joined the Marines. But, my heart goes out to his family.  Friends, and all who knew him.  I did not stay in contact with Scott, however, I am sure that regardless of how he died, what’s most important is how he lived.  RIP my friend. So sorry to hear this. Scott was a good friend! So many memories especially at the skating rink where he was our DJ. Prayers for Markv& family.

Scottis survived by his son, Austin Atkinson and wife, Elena who are stationed in Jacksonville, North Carolina with the Marines; his mother, Martha Atkinson of Fort Smith, Arkansas; father, Mark Atkinson and wife, Debbie of Fort Smith and his siblings, AJ Atkinson of Coarsegold, California, Matthew Goddard of Fort Smith and Melissa Morgan of Fort Smith.
