Harry Franklin Anderson, born on December 16, 1945 in Paris, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. He attended St. Boniface and Immaculate Conception Catholic Schools and graduated in 1963 from St. Anne’s Academy in Fort Smith, Arkansas. After graduation he proudly served in the Air National Guard 188th.
A dedicated and hardworking provider for his family, Harry Anderson worked as a computer technician for Owens Corning Fiberglass for 25 years. His commitment to his work and family was unwavering, and he will be remembered for his strong faith, love of antique cars, drag racing, and passion for hiking and the outdoors. He found great joy in being at home, surrounded by his family, good food, and the music he loved including hits from Elvis, Roy Orbison, and Ricky Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara Anderson and his brother, Johnny Anderson. Harry Anderson is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cherry Anderson; two sons, Christopher Anderson and Mark Anderson; two daughters, Andrea Brown and her husband, Matthew and Stefanie Lee and her husband Brent. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Colt and Harley Brown and Lydia, Scarlett and Nolan Lee.
A funeral mass will be held 11 a.m., Friday, June 21 at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Barling, Arkansas with burial following at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Paris under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
Harry Anderson will be deeply missed. His legacy of faith, dedication and hard work will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
