Gwynne Claudia Leftwich, 70, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024 in Fort Smith. She was born January 17, 1954 to Robert and Helen Leftwich. She helped start the Greenwood Church of the Nazarene with Bro. Aldar and volunteered at other churches in the area.
She is survived two daughters, Christy Myers of Fort Smith and Vanessa Cobbler of Barling; one sister, Lee Leftwich of Kansas; two grandchildren, Jimmy Spencer and Emily King and three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dane Lamar Pierce, Jr., a sister, Sheila Leftwich and one grandson, J.J. Degan.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, September 30 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Oak Valley Cemetery. Viewing will be Sunday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 6 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Robert Mason, Jimmy Spencer, Jim Degan, Garrett King, Guy Parnell and Dustin Williams.
