Don Williams, 84, of Greenwood, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013 in Fort Smith. He was retired from Whirlpool, an active servant in the Greenwood United Methodist Church for sixty-one years, veteran of the U.S. Army and Korean War, and past Scoutmaster of Troop 54, Boy Scouts of America. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Dolly Williams and grandson, Shane Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; one daughter, Sherry Corbin and husband, Ed of Greenwood; two sons, Nick Williams and wife, Sharon of Weatherford, Texas, and Ronnie Williams and wife, Pam of Greenwood; two sisters, Barbara Hartman and Myra Heath, both of California, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 5 at the Greenwood United Methodist Church with burial at Dawson Cemetery in Milltown under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Greenwood United Methodist Church, where the family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren: Stacey Carter, Chris Leonard, Amanda Thompson, Logan Williams, Landon Williams, and Lundon Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandchildren.
