David Lawrence Jesse, Jr., 63, of Greenwood, Arkansas, passed away on April 21, 2024 surrounded by his family. David, usually known as Dave, was born to David Lawrence Jesse, Sr. and Ann Kathryn (Bollin) Jesse on December 20, 1960 in Dallas, Texas. Dave spent his life with his junior high sweetheart, Crystal. They were married on September 26, 1981, and together, they built their dreams into reality. The couple was blessed with two daughters, Leigh Jordan and Lorin Taylor.
Dave was a proud member of the Free Range Cowboy Church. He was a talented, self-taught carpenter who loved bringing to life all the creations his beloved wife could come up with, and together, they designed and built two impressive houses. After the empty nest syndrome hit the Jesse home, Dave and Crystal started riding motorcycles and became active members of the Vulcan Bagger Association. Dave worked at Belle Point Beverages for over 30 years and was proud to be “The Bud Man.” Dave enjoyed the simple things in life, such as sitting on the front porch or back by the pool. He spent his free time working around the house, spoiling his wife, playing pool or shooting darts with Janet and Donnie, and entertaining his four grandchildren, Steven, Nathan, Lexton, and Olivia.
Dave is survived by his daughters, Leigh Christian of Fort Smith and Lorin Nhongvongsithi and her husband, Roger of Greenwood; his sister, Jennifer Langley and husband, Mark of Colorado; his mother-in-law, Lou Howell of Fort Smith and his four grandchildren, Steven, Nathan, Lexton and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ann and Larry Jesse, his sister, Kimberly Wheeler and his loving wife, Crystal Jesse of Greenwood.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 30 at Free Range Cowboy Church in Greenwood with burial at Mount Harmony Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Pastor Kirby Vaughn will officiate. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
