Daniel Wayne Cherry, SMSGT USAF (Ret)

Daniel Wayne Cherry, SMSGT USAF (Ret.) 82, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 in his home. He was retired from Mercy Hospital and the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Audra Taylor; two daughters, Debbie Cepeda and Cindy Horine; three step-daughters, Alisha Best, Haley Kateridis-Klyne and Tori Taylor; two brothers, John Cherry and Buddy Cherry; one sister, Carlene Hoblitzell; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, April 21 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. Viewing will be Wednesday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Alex Cravens, T.J. Marshall, Nick Kateridis-Klyne, Zac Childress, Adam Horine and Jaxen Cepeda.
