

William M. Frick, 95, passed away Thursday May 15th , after an extended illness. He spent his early years in Upper Montclair, NJ where he excelled in track. He served in WW II in Europe with the 79th Division and was awarded a field commission promotion to officer. He married Emilie Farnsworth in 1946. After coming to Greenwich he worked at various jobs including a self-employed landscaping business, he became a teacher at Brunswick School. While employed there he also held positions Middle School and Admissions Director. When disabling illness forced him to retire in 1984, He pursed his interests of research and writing on archeology and military history subjects. He was known as a "gentleman and expert crapshooter " and expert /creator of "bucketball". He is survived by wife Emilie Frick, son Henry Frick and two grandchildren. He was preceded by his daughter Eloise Frick Cherven in 1993. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, May 21st at 1:00 pm at the Second Congregational Church 139 East Putnam Avenue Greenwich.
