Marie Carriero died April 15th, 2014. She was born in Greenwich, CT the daughter of Beatrice (Cristiano) and William Gasparrini, founder of the Post Road Iron Works.
In 1948, she married Peter James Carriero. They were married fifty-four years, during which they remained Greenwich residents before moving to Edgehill of Stamford in 1999.
Marie is survived by her three children, Peter C. (Gail) of Stamford, Roger W. of Cos Cob, and daughter Claudia Ridberg (Rudy). She is also survived by six grandchildren, Alexandra (Dr. Steven) Krasnica, Lauren and Andrea Ridberg, Peter, Gary and Gina Carriero, and three great-grandchildren Steven, Emery, and Caris Krasnica.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, April 17, at 10:30 at St. Mary R.C. Church on 178 Greenwich Avenue. Burial will follow at Putnam Cemetery on Parsonage Road in Greenwich.
