2023. Catherine was born in New Rochelle, NY, on March 14th, 1934. She attended school in New Rochelle where she also met the love of her life, Laurence Crowe, at an Irish dance.
Catherine and Larry were married on May 30, 1953, in New Rochelle, and began their life together in Greenwich Connecticut shortly after.
Catherine started her career as a bookkeeper at the landmark Outdoor Traders Store in
Greenwich. Upon their closing, she worked for Betteridge Jewelers for the remainder of her career.
Catherine was a lifetime knitter, whose Irish aran sweaters were often fashioned by family and friends. Her other love was singing in the Sacred Heart choir, where she made several lifelong friendships.
Catherine was predeceased by her loving husband Larry, her sister Eileen, and many brothers and sisters in law in the United States and Ireland.
Catherine is survived by her loving children, John and Jill Crowe, Maryellen and Paul Bortot, and Cathy Kenny, her sister Peggy Schwarz, brother James Connell, brother in law Eddie Crowe, and his wife Kathleen. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amanda Morneau (Michael), and Matthew Northcutt; Shane, Ashley (Kramer), Christopher, and Jayson Bortot; and Thomas and Michael Kenny; and her great grandchildren Luke, Chase, and Zachary Morneau; Vallen Samuelson; and many nieces and nephews across the U.S and Ireland.
An important part of Catherine and Larry's' life was Larry's' homeland of Ireland. They enjoyed several visits, and renewed their wedding vows with family and friends in Larry's' hometown of Drumlish on their 50th wedding anniversary in 2003.

There will be a private graveside ceremony honoring Catherines' life later in the spring
