William Earl Pritchard

William Earl “Billy” Pritchard, age 79 of Taylors, SC went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 21, 2022 surrounded by his loving and caring family. Born on July 28, 1943 at Lenior Memorial Hospital in Kinston, NC to the late Willie Pritchard and Alma Lee Wynns Pritchard. Billy lived most of his life on Hwy 11 just outside of Kinston and graduated from Contentnea High School.

He married his wife of 58 years, Brenda Dawson Pritchard and together they decided that Billy needed to further his education. He was accepted to Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. He and Brenda made their home in South Carolina returning home to Kinston to visit family and friends. Brenda went to work with the University and is still there today. They have raised and educated a very successful daughter, April Joy Pritchard Stugg.

Billy will be remembered for his dry wit, his love of family and always on facebook giving you his opinion and he always had a story to tell. His family and friends will miss him greatly.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1901 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville, SC 29615 on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 3:00 pm.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughter, Joy and her husband, Heiko; a host of special nieces and nephews and extended family in the Lenior and Bertie County areas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Thomas Marion Pritchard and his wife, Gladys Barbara Aldridge Pritchard. As long as they lived, they were so proud of Billy and his accomplishments.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice in memory of William Earl Pritchard.
