Thomas Lee Weick, age 66, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. Tom was born to the late Roy and Marjorie Weick on August 7, 1956 in Fort Wayne, IN. Tom was a graduate of Northrop High School, class of 1974.
He leaves behind his wife, Jean (Cahill) Weick of 37 years. A step-son, Bryan S. Sevrence (Carisa) Cayden, Alex, Chayce, Katelynn and Madelyn, a daughter, Abbie M. Hanson (Joel) Jackson and Emerson, a son, Lee T. Weick (Hannah) Casen, Carter and Cole, a son, Craig M. Weick (Alexis) Jackson, Judson and Jameson. He was a brother to Phillip Weick (Kathy) an uncle to Andrew Weick (Tina) Darian, Calissa and Jaylen. He was also a brother-in-law to Carol Weick.
He loved his family. He loved watching them all grow, going to their sporting events, weddings, and the birth of his 13 grandchildren. They were the pride and joy and helped him get through many tough times during his battle with cancer. He often said the kids were his “medicine!”
Tom was an avid outdoorsman. He loved camping, hunting, fishing, boating, and golfing. He had bragging rights to 3 hole in ones.
Tom was a tool and die worker by trade and started his career in 1974. After working for 24 years as a die maker he became a Program Manager in the tool and die field. He worked for E & R Tool and Die/Benteler Tool and Die in Ft. Wayne, IN and later moved to South Carolina where he continued to work as a Program Manager in the tool and die field.
He was preceded in death by his brother Charles W. Weick and nephew Scott Michael Weick.
A Celebration of Life for Tom is scheduled on June 2, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at His Vineyard (656 Arlington Rd. Greer, SC 29651). The family asks that you please consider donating to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. You never caught Tom complaining about his battle with cancer. He always said there are kids going through much worse times than him.
