Thomas Eugene Carver Jr.

Born in Greenville County, SC, Tommy was the son of the late Thomas Eugene Carver, Sr. and Hilda Hindman McCuen.

He started with Roane-Barker Surgical Supplies in 1964 and was there for over 23 years. Afterwards, he continued in the medical supply and sales industry for 19 years. For the last 9 years Tommy worked as an independent insurance agent. Tommy was known for being a great leader and mentor. He was also very loyal to the people he came into contact with.

Tommy was a former member of the Masonic Lodge in Wendell, NC and a current member of the Masonic Lodge in Simpsonville, SC. He was also a member of the Amran Shrine Temple in Raleigh, NC and the Hejaz Shrine Temple in Greenville, SC. He was a committed husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a friend to all.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Donna Holland Carver; a son, Tom Carver (Emma); a daughter, Carol Rosensteel (Michael); 5 grandchildren, Madison Carver, Gordon Rosensteel Minard (Tyler), Christopher Rosensteel, Daniel Rosensteel (Miranda), and Jonathan Rosensteel; and 6 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Monday, September 18, 2017 at The Mackey Mortuary, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC 29607. A memorial service to celebrate Tommy’s life will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in the Chapel of The Mackey Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children – Greenville.
