Sylvia D. Gainey went home to be with her Lord and savior on April 18, 2021. She was a caring Mother, Grammy, Sister, Aunt and friend to many. Ms. Gainey was born to the late Aler Ervin Cantrell and Nellie Massengale Cantrell on Sept. 8, 1959 in Greenville SC.
She is predeceased by her childhood sweetheart Micheal Lyndon Ivie. They shared immense love for their only child Joni Snedigar, (Todd) and Grandson’s Kaleb and Jackson Snedigar. She was a Greer High School graduate. A devoted Christian.
Sylvia loved her family dearly, forever will be remembered for her commitment to her family and unwavering love for 7 siblings, countless nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved pets.
Visitation at Mackey at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC from 12:30pm -1:45pm Service at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens
