Robert James (Bob) Breedon passed away after a brief illness on October 8, 2024, at the age of 78.He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Nancy Masuhr Breedon; his four children, Amy (Milton) Bain, Beth (Thomas) Moore, Derek Breedon and Peter (Barbi) Breedon; his six grandchildren, Caitlin Breedon, Anleigh Breedon, Caleb Moore, Joshua Moore, Zachary Bain and Hayden Breedon; and his dog, Pepper.
Bob retired after a 44 year career in banking. He was a private pilot and aviation enthusiast who volunteered at the Triple Tree Aerodrome and enjoyed nature and hiking.
Bob graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He was a Life Member of the UNC Alumni Association, a Rams Club Member, and an avid Carolina Tarheels fan. In 1985 Bob graduated summa cum laude from the Owen Graduate School at Vanderbilt University with a master’s of business administration.
Services will be held privately.
