I always heard that if you had a couple of best friends in your life that you were blessed.  Nancy was one of those to me.  We worked together at Collins for many years and became best of friends outside of the office as well.  To know Nancy was to love her.  Her quick wit and sense of humor were something else! We shared many good times, laughter, sadness and tears through the years and could always count on each other through it all.  I will miss her terribly, but I know she is well and whole in heaven with her family members who were waiting for her, especially her precious Tim.  Their relationship and love for each other was so sweet and pure!  And, she finally was able to see her Jesus face to face. I know she is having a great reunion!

I am so sorry to read about your mom's passing.  It has been many years since I have seen her however, the memories I have are filled with laughter.  When her and my dad worked together at Stone Manufacturing Co., he thought the world of her and always had funny stories to share.  Thanks for adding the picture of the two of you.  We needed to see more of your beautiful face.  I know what it is like losing both parents as both of mine have recently passed away.  You will always miss them but the days do get better. I will be praying for you in the days ahead.

People will gather today to celebrate my cousin, Nancy, her life, her gifts, and her faith.   Our families grew up next door to each other and that short walk between us left well worn paths that live  today in memories of softball and kickball games, the driveway between our houses : a canvas for hopscotch lines and endless games of marbles.  There was always somebody home and somebody to play with as soon as our eyes opened.   Aunt Maxine and Uncle John's house was always welcoming.  Church at Uncle John's was the culmination of much preparation and I was blessed to get a behind the scenes look at all the love, tenderness, time and attention that went into 'church' sometimes they'd let me help.  Today, there will be many stories of how many lives she touched  and these will continue to bless her family.  
Nancy's hugs and prayers were always at the ready and for me mostly online in our adult lives; but no less real and lovely.  Her outreach and support were lifelines and helped me beyond what words can explain.  I remember a particular day on Route 5 when all the cars were at Uncle John's house and I was visiting Mama.  I made that familiar walk next door and Uncle John was sitting on the front porch swing.  I remember walking through the house to the screen porch and hearing Nancy's shout...and then her hug and then her taking my face in her hands and telling me everything wsa going to be ok...and she'd keep praying.  Prayers for everyone today as we gather, wherever we are, to celebrate Nancy's life of faith and love and passion.

My heart is broken over hearing of Nancy’s passing. She was such a precious friend with a sense of humor so much like my own. We went to church together when my daughter and Staci were younger. Staci kept my daughter in the nursery and we quickly became friends. We sat in church together, usually towards the back because we were always getting tickled in church over the silliest things. She’s was not one you’d want to sit with during a serious event!

I remember growing up with Nancy in church.  She was a very special person.   Although I didn't get to see her very much after she moved away she will always be in my heart.  Nancy and the rest of the Cody family are very special to me and I love you all.  Please know that I am praying for all of you.  

I can not remember a single moment in my entire life that Nancy was anything but kind, compassionate and funny when I was with her. I will miss her loving presence!

Mrs. Nancy was hilarious. I work for her sister at Phil’s Steakhouse, and everytime she would come in she would always cut up with me. I had long hair at the time I first met her, and she “encouraged me” to put a hairnet on, and even helped me with the process of putting it on. She was always smiling every time I saw her. 

Nancy was a dear person. We went to school together. She was a special lady that will be missed. A flower for The Masters Bouquet.


The Cody’s  have always been like family.  I’ve known Nancy my whole life.  She always knew how to bring a smile to your face and  no matter what she was going thru she always greeted me with a hug!  When my first husband passed away, Tim had just found out he was sick and they had a lot going on, however,  Nancy still took the time to make  special pillows from some of Jeff’s favorite shirts for some of my family members.  Those were very special gifts for each of them that year and I will be forever grateful.  I will miss her messages, posts and her most of all, but I can rest knowing she is where she’s been longing to be for a long time.  Much love and prayers to the family now and in the upcoming days ahead. 

Nancy always had a smile on her face any time I saw her. I loved for her to come visit her family and come to church with them.  When Tim was in the hospital I would send her cute little videos to make her smile. We were Facebook buddies and I will miss her very much.
