Lindsey E. Mann, Sr., husband of the late Myrtle Nelson Mann, died Saturday, August 1, 2015. Born in Jonesboro, NC, he was the son of the late Lemuel Chester and Mamie Jane Holland Mann. He was a member of the Greatest Generation serving in the Navy during World War II. Lindsey retired from Publix Supermarkets after 30 years of service. In 1990, Lindsey and Myrtle moved to Greenville from Orlando, FL. He was a member of First Baptist Church Greenville and the Fellowship Sunday School Class. He is survived by his two daughters and their husbands, Ginger and Perry Sapp of Kennesaw, GA; and Nell and Bill Aiken of Gray Court; four grandchildren, Trey Sapp and his wife Whitney of Salmon, ID, Lindsey Sapp Howerton and her husband Scott, of Acworth, GA, Scott Aiken and his wife Shannon, of Gray Court, and Mark Lindsey Aiken, of Gray Court; and eight great grandchildren, Madeline, Sean, David and Charli Sapp; Lilly, Isaac, and Maximus Howerton; and Stella Blue Aiken. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Carpenter Chapel of First Baptist Church with Dr. Baxter Wynn and Reverend Trey Sapp officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Greenville, 847 Cleveland Street, Greenville, SC 29601.
