Linda Gail Estes, 71, beloved wife of David A. Estes, Sr. passed away peacefully Saturday evening, March 28, 2015 with her family by her side.

Born in Waynesville, NC, she was the only child of the late Clarence G. and Rachel McDaniel Caldwell.

Linda received an A.A. in Nursing from Guilford Technical College in Greensboro, NC. She was a Registered Nurse and retired from Internists Associates in Greenville. She was a proud daughter of a WW II veteran and loved and respected those who have honorably served our country.

She and David joined Mauldin United Methodist Church in 1980. She served on numerous committees which include the Administrative Committee and as a Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, enjoyed her bible study groups and serving as a youth group coordinator in the 1980’s. Most importantly Linda loved people. Her relationships with her church family, friends and as being a loving “Ma’am” to her precious five grandchildren brought her the most joy.

In addition to her husband of 52 years, Mrs. Estes is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David A. and Dennise Estes, Jr. and Bryan C. and Ellen Estes; and her dear grandchildren, David Estes III, Mark Estes, Ethan Estes, Meg Estes and Lilly Jane Estes.

A Service to Celebrate her Life will be Wednesday, April 1st at 3:00 p.m. at Mauldin United Methodist Church with the Reverend Smoke Kanipe officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. in the Son Room of the church.

The committal will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Greenville Cancer Society or to the Mauldin United Methodist Church.
