Grandpa, so glad to know you're with Jesus, Sherrie, Dad, and other loved ones. There are so many fond memories I have of you. We loved coming to the house on Woodstock and playing on the "big" hill! My favorite memories are of your preaching and singing. I can still hear your voice and I imagine you're singing louder and clearer now more than ever. Love you. We'll see you soon One Golden Daybreak!

My plan was to travel there for the service on Saturday but my work scheduled me to work and I was so disappointed not to be able to attend and pay my respect for a man as well as the whole family that means a lot  to me. I’ll always hold a special place in my heart for each of you. My thoughts and prayers for each of you and please give Mrs.Lyles a big hug and kiss from me with my condolences. I’ll be thinking of you all and praying for you in the days to follow, God bless!

I learned only today of the passing of a  good friend who helped me navigate my joining Dr. John R. Rice and his Sword of the Lord family in Murfreesboro TN.  He was a good man who loved his Lord and served Him with dignity and love.  May God comfort his family and loved ones.   He no doubt will hear His Lord say, "Well done my good  and faithful servant."  

LaVanda and I send out heartfelt love and sympathy to the family and will be praying.

Bud was my Youth For Christ director when I was in high school back when he was in Rockford, IL.   What an
influence he had on my life at that important time.   He helped me so much with my song leading and had the joy
of even going to the National YFC convention at Winona Lake, IN for the song leading contest.   Later Bud and
Dottie joined Eagledale Baptist Church in Indpls where I was on staff as Music Direction.  Oh, we have so many fond memories.   Bud gave us some wonderful guidance and counsel as we sought the Lord in leading us into evangelism.   PTL for your influence and our friendship.
