John Gregory Osteen II

Canton, GA

John Gregory Osteen, II, 24, son of Robin Osteen Green and the late John Gregory Osteen, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at his residence.

He was born and raised in Greenville, until he moved to Canton, GA where he graduated from Riverside Military Academy and attended Valdosta State University. He was an avid South Carolina Gamecock fan and was currently working to become a certified personal trainer.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, is his sister, Jensine Gabrielle “Gabby” Osteen; his step-father, Paul Green; maternal grandparents, Bill and Linda Fricks of Williamston, SC; paternal grandparents, Gene Osteen (Sallie)of Greenville and Helen Hoover (Max) of Greenville; an aunt, Sandy Tolbert (Jim) of Greer; three uncles, Derek Fricks, Roger and Mark Osteen; two great-grandmothers; Sara Powell and Ruth Darlymple; a half brother, Gregory Osteen; two half sisters, Jasmine and Jaydie Grace; and two step-brothers, Sam and Jake Green.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 28, 2014 at 2:30 PM at The Mackey Mortuary. The burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:15 PM, prior to the service at the mortuary.

The family will be at the home of Jim and Snady Tolbert, 119 Tuscany Way, Greer, SC 29650.
