JoAnn was born in Conklin, NY, on September 20, 1931, to Ruby and Homer Goodrich. She was active in the music and radio ministry of her local church, The Little White Church. She attended Bob Jones University, where she met her husband, Fred Davis. JoAnn was the Director of the child daycare center and then the Director of the Museum and Gallery at Bob Jones University until her retirement.
JoAnn is survived by her husband of 68 years, Fred, and her six children, Tim Davis (Lynne), Terri Sikkelee, Tami Estelle (Bob), Traci Cooley (Scott), Todd Davis (Salena), and Tricia Stiekes (Bob). She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
JoAnn’s favorite Bible verses were Philippians 3:13-14, “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended; but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
Faith, family, and friends were most important to her. Her quiet demeanor and servant’s heart were a testimony to all and she excelled in her roles as wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Services for JoAnn will be a private family celebration of her life.
