She was born in Spartanburg South Carolina and was the daughter of the late Alder Gosnell Brown and Jesse L Gosnell.
She lived in Greenville since 1969 and was employed for 25 years for Greenville County in the Purchasing Department retired as Senior Buyer.
She was a member of Northgate Baptist Church in Greenville where she served through the years on various committees and was a member of the Faithful Followers Sunday School Class.
Her life was filled with creativity and motivation for many craft projects. She enjoyed sewing, painting, gardening outdoors and travel. She was filled with love, kindness and patience. She enjoyed meeting and visiting with friends. Her willingness to help and the love she gave to her family and friends will always be remembered and cherished. She enjoyed sports and never missed a chance to enjoy a Clemson football or basketball game.
She is survived by children and grandchildren of her first husband, the late Richard Stanley Stevens. Daughter Jan Jarvis (Brian) and Kim Stevens (Bruce), son Richard Stevens, son-in-law Tony Cirelli, granddaughters Kristin Cirelli Moseley (Wes), Ashley Cirelli Swift (Heyward), beloved great-granddaughters Stevens Ruth Moseley, Sawyer Kate Moseley, great-grandson Walker Heyward Swift, and several nieces and nephews.
She is survived by step-children and grandchildren of her marriage to Bob Parker Sr. Step-sons Bob Parker Jr., and Richard Parker (Debbie), step-daughter Christy Johnson (Andy), granddaughters Jessie Kelly (Chris), Austa Marie Sharker (Adam), grandsons Bobby “Trace” Parker III (Amanda) and Weston Parker (Rachel), and several great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by daughter Pam Stevens Cirelli, brothers Ralph, Wilford, and James Gosnell, sisters Mabel Gault and Elsie Floyd, step-daughter Linda Parker Vitale and step-granddaughter Warner Parker.
The family will receive friends at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive Greenville, SC 29609 on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 10:00 AM, with services following in the chapel at 12:00 PM. The burial service will be held graveside at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
Serving as pallbearers are Dr Bruce Howell, Wes Moseley, Bob Parker Jr., Trace Parker, Richard Stevens and Heyward Swift.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northgate Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society in memory of Pam Stevens Cirelli, Linda Parker Vitale, and in honor of Ashley Cirelli Swift.
