She was born in Oconee County to the late Giles Franklin Brown and Willie Ruth Brown.
Irene married Holbert J. Wilson on January 22, 1945.
Mrs. Wilson was in retail management and was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are her daughter, Judy W. Looper (Billy) of Cleveland; son, Michael Anthony Wilson ( Sue) of Greer; daughter-in-law, Mandy G. Wilson; grandchildren, Will Looper (Gena), Jason Looper (Leslie) and Susie Wilson; and great grandchildren, Andy Smith (Misty), Billy Looper and Cory Looper.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by a son, Raymond Earle Wilson.
Funeral service 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 9, 2015 in the Chapel of Mackey Mortuary with visitation one hour prior.
Burial following in Graceland East Cemetery.
