A native of Greenville, Mrs. Mullinax was a homemaker and a volunteer church pianist at Overbrook Baptist Church for 50 years.
The daughter of Clyde D. and Floride Jenkins, Mrs. Mullinax grew up in Fork Shoals, SC.
Helen studied piano at Anderson Academy and College (now Anderson University) and earned a degree in music from Furman University.
She was the pianist for the Chapel Choir at Furman, taught music at Slater Marietta High School, Paris High school and demonstrated pianos for the Rice Music House of Greenville.
In 1952, Helen and Wally were married and for the rest of her life she dedicated herself to her husband, her children and her grandchildren.
Mrs. Mullinax is survived by her daughter Christie Seear and her daughter-in-law Kim Mullinax.
Other survivors include grandchildren, Wallace A. Mullinax III and his wife Dr. Kristen Rae Mullinax of Charleston, SC, Dr. Maria Crandall and her husband Sean of Tega Cay SC, Jensen Seear and his wife Laura of Greenville, SC and Christopher Seear of Greenville, SC. Step Grandchildren Kasey Clement of Charleston, SC and Jack Clement of Minneapolis, MN.
Great grandchildren, Zadie and Eva Crandall, Kathryn and Nathan Seear, and Wallace Mullinax IV (Aiken).
She is predeceased by her late husband Wallace A. Mullinax Sr. and son Wallace A. Mullinax Jr. and siblings Clyde “Pete” Jenkins, John E. Jenkins and Jean Boyd.

A graveside service for Helen will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609.
