Helen was born August 9, 1953 in Athens Greece. She moved to Greenville South Carolina with her family in 1956. Helen attended Blythe Elementary School, Hughes Junior High School and Southside High School. She attended Anderson College and graduated with an Associates Degree of Art.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles Councel Daniels and Vasso Issigonis Daniels.
She was a parishioner of Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Greenville South Carolina, where she taught seventh and eighth Sunday School for 27 years. She actively participated with the Philoptochos and Daughters of Penelope. She stanchly supported the annual Greek Festival by using her extensive knowledge of banking procedures. She was a Teller at First Citizens, Palmetto and United Community Banks, where she was beloved by not only her peers but also her customers.
Her passions included horses and her beloved cats "Vasoula" and "Booboo".
her surviving relatives are her beloved sons, Daniel and Charlie Camp; her granddaughter, Abby Camp, who held a very special place in her heart. Also surviving are; her beloved brother Tony Daniels (Clevie), Godson Charles Daniels along with nephews, nieces, family and friends who are all dear in her heart. Her zest for life encouraged all of them in everything they tried.
The family wishes to thank the Lutheran Hospice, Helen's neighbors, Helens banking associates and customers, her loving Greek community, and all her friends for their love support, friendship and prayers over these 11 years of fighting her breast cancer. Thank You!
Visitation for Helen will be held Wednesday March 1, 2017 from 6:30-8:30pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Greenville SC. The Trisagion will be conducted by Rev. Fr. Tom Pistolis at 7:00pm.
Funeral Service will be at Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11:00am at Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Greenville SC. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville SC. The Traditional Meal will be held at Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral at the conclusion of services.
