Gary Gaddy of Greer, South Carolina passed away on July 17th, 2022. Born in Charlotte, NC. Gary was a stranger to no one and never shied away from freely sharing his advice and opinion. A renaissance man of his time, Gary loved golf, lesser sports (particularly the Braves and UNC) but also tabloid and celebrity news. Those lucky enough to know Gary were bettered by his friendship and love. He loved his wife Debbie dearly and was a patient father to two kids who grew up testing it. We lost a unique man of unshakeable conviction who will live on in our hearts, family stories, and his multitude of friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Peggy; father, Broadus; brother Michael. Gary is survived by his wife, Debbie; daughter, Jennifer Schumacher of Winthrop, WA; son, Pierce and daughter-in-law, Jessica Webster of Charleston, SC; sisters, Sharon Helms and Gwenn Hanna of Wingate, NC, and four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital his favorite charity.
