Born in Easley, she was a daughter of the late Grady D. Putnam and Nina Evatt Putnam. She was a home maker and a member of Pelham Road Baptist Church.
Mrs. McClure was predeceased by her husbands, Lloyd George Cornmesser and James R. McClure; a son, Lloyd Joseph Cornmesser; a grandson, Edmond Shawn Cornmesser; and a sister, Christine Putnam Dodgens. She is survived by three children, Robert Lesley Cornmesser (Betty), David Monroe Cornmesser (Vickie), and Beth Dobson (Bobby); a daughter-in-law, Bernice Cornmesser; six grandchildren, Penney Weeks (Joel), Lisa Leader (Joey), Joshua Cornmesser, Andrew P. Dobson (Sarah), Thomas J. Dobson, and Marie Dobson; and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Mackey Funerals & Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609 with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
