Born in Pelzer, she was the daughter of the late John and Lilly Thomason. Carolyn was married for 65 years to the late Richard M. Taylor. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, David and Johnny Taylor; three brothers; two sisters; and a grandson, Jimmy Wilson.
She is survived by a daughter, Debra Smith (Bo) of Simpsonville, SC; a son, Gene Taylor of Taylors, SC; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. She also loved her bird, Sam, who was very special to her.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 11:00 am at Greenville Memorial Gardens at 7784 Augusta Road, Piedmont, SC 29673.
