He was born in Mt. Airy, NC and the son of the late Fred Lawrence Pruitt and Annie Virginia Bailey. He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Lynne McClement Pruitt.
Chuck graduated from Wake Forest University in 1962 with a B.S. in Mathematics. He then spent 6 months in the US Coast Guard. He went on to pursue a career as a Manufacturer’s Representative for several sporting goods companies.
Chuck was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Greenville.
Surviving are two daughters, Ashley Pruitt Brennan (Kevin) and Courtney Pruitt Lominack (David), a son Charles Eugene Christian Pruitt (Sarah) and 4 grandchildren: Henry Charles Lominack, James Bowen Lominack, Lynne Brooks Lominack and Mary Grace Pruitt all of Greenville.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 2:00pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of David and Courtney Lominack at 69 Forest Lane.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Survivors Park Alliance at 24 Cleveland Street, Greenville, SC 29601.
