Charles worked in commercial art and was the owner of Art Plus Studio, Group Four Advertising, Wolfe-Doughty Advertising, and Creative Graphics. He also served four years in the Air Force, during the Korean Conflict. He loved to paint and fish for bass.
He is survived by his son, Charles Doughty III (Jane); two daughters, Sherry Barker and Linda Bennet; 3 grandsons, Larry Doughty, Jay Barker, and Hunter Barker (Martha); two granddaughters, Lacey Carruth (Heath) and Deana Bouknight (Steve); two great granddaughters, Olivia Carruth, and Claire Carruth; and a great grandson, Jake Bouknight.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lillian E. Doughty; a granddaughter, Christa Barker; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held privately by the family.
