Charleen was a lifetime member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. She worked for many years at the Greenville County Voter Registration and Election Office. She was also an avid reader and averaged a book a day. Most of all, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother who always put family first.
She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Arthur Williams; two sisters, Hazel Watson and Louise Pitts; one grandchild; and one great grandchild.
She is survived by her two sons, David Williams (Susan) and Greg Williams (Tammy); a sister, Jeanette Merritt; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the Woodlawn Park Chapel at 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609.
