Carolyn Rogers King, 90, of Bethlehem, GA passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. Born and raised in Pelzer, SC she was the daughter of the late Shuman and Ruth Dowis Rogers. She was a graduate Pelzer High School, Class of 1940. Surviving are her husband of 71 years, Maj. Noah Gilbert King Sr. (US Army, ret); a daughter, Ruth "Sherri" Hussey (James); a son, Noah King, Jr. (Anca); two brothers, William Rogers (Arlene) of Greer, SC and David Rogers (Agnes) of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Edna Wyatt (Bill) of Greenville, SC and Dorothy Hudson of Greer, SC; four grandchildren, John Wesley King (Ali), James Reese Hussey Jr., Tomas Alexander King and Isabella Marie King, three great grandchildren, Davis King, Lawsen King and Reese Hussey, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by four sisters, Helen R. Sides, Alice R. Holloway, Bobbie R. Moore and Patricia R. Thomas and one brother, John Shuman Rogers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 1:00PM in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with visitation prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM.
