Born April 13, 1929 in Umatilla, Florida, Bonnie was the daughter of the late William Gordon Brown and Lucy Cooper Brown. She was the wife of William Adger “Booty” Bishop, Jr., who died in 1992.
Bonnie worked for 35 years in the laboratory at Union Bleachery, a division of Cone Mills. She was a member of Paris View Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, GA Leader, WMU Worker while actively participating in the Shut In Ministry. Bonnie loved visiting people, reading her Bible and going to church.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers; Gladys Jones (Bolt), Betty DeMarco (Tony), Ann Bjornson (Bill), Billy Brown and Jack Brown. In addition, she was preceded in death by four in-laws; Jim and Needa King, Frances Bishop and Roger Bishop.
Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Robert Hyatt of Waynesville, NC, a son and daughter-in-law, William Adger “Bill” Bishop III and Beth Woods Bishop of Greenville, SC, one sister, Katie Swett (Fred) of Alabama, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, one brother-in-law who was like a brother, Mahon Bishop, a sister-in-law LaRue Bishop, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Bonnie will be held Tuesday April 11, 2023, at Paris View Baptist Church, 100 Bud St, Greenville, SC 29617 with a visitation beginning at 12:00 pm.
